Guwahati: TATA rolls out EV charging station in Guwahati for the first time.
The Indian Hotels Company Limited in association with Tata Power on November 29, rolled out an electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Guwahati.
It's the first time a Tata Group hotel in the northeast has a facility like this, according to media sources. The business also intends to add similar points to other units.
Arup Kumar Misra, Chairman of the Pollution Control Board of Assam (PCBA), stated during the facility's opening that additional charging stations are needed to combat the city's growing pollution levels.
He stated, "We desire a healthy, clean atmosphere. By 2030, we must achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," he adds.
This charging station has arrangements to plug in four vehicles at a time.
The company also stated that owners of electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, must reserve spaces using an app and make payments online.
