Moscow: Several airlines have announced the suspension of flights to Russian cities amid speculation that the recent crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane may have been caused by a Russian anti-aircraft missile.

The Embraer 190 aircraft, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, was en route from Baku to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, when it crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on Wednesday. The tragedy claimed the lives of 38 of the 67 people on board.
