Ali & Son Foundation is setting up two super-speciality hospitals at Amingaon in Guwahati. These hospitals are likely to open in April 2025. As confirmed by Jesim Ali, the co-founder and CEO of the foundation, around Rs 55 crore has been invested in the project.
Speaking of the upcoming super-speciality hospitals, Jesim Ali shared that both hospitals will offer allopathic and Ayurvedic treatments to provide comprehensive healthcare to the Northeastern region.
"The registration process is underway and will become operational by April 2025," Jesmin Ali said during an exclusive interview with Business North East (BNE).
Meanwhile, Jesim Ali also revealed that the foundation is involved with multiple ventures - coal export and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Recently, the foundation ventured into the clothing business with 'Leaf,' a budget-friendly clothing brand.
Shedding light on investments, Jesim Ali said Rs 3 crore went into setting up the new clothing brand. "Out of the Rs 3 crore, Rs 2.5 crore is allocated for setting up the factory, including installation of heat machines, printing machines, and other equipment. Thanks to state government schemes, we received 30% cashback on purchasing these machines," he said, lauding the state's subsidy schemes for young entrepreneurs.

"The government offers excellent schemes for MSMEs, but people hesitate to take the first step. MSMEs not only provide loans but also grants. For instance, grants can go up to Rs 12 crore, and for textiles, up to Rs 3 crore. I applied for grants, and within three months, I received all the necessary certificates and clearances for my clothing brand, Leaf," he told BNE.
Moreover, he also shared how technology has helped his businesses. "Artificial intelligence has been instrumental in shaping our marketing strategies. It helps improve ROI by creating efficient marketing campaigns," he said during the interview.
