Stakeholders meet in Guwahati to understand challenges of MSMEs

Industry Minister urged the participants to leverage the day

Guwahati: A credit guarantee stakeholders meet was organised by Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited at the NEDFi house on October 18 entitled “Assam Credit Guarantee Scheme Stakeholders Awareness Meet”. 

The minister of industries, commerce and public enterprises Bimal Bora updated his gratification for attending the meeting that was organised to create awareness among the stakeholders of the Assam credit guarantee scheme in his twitter account. 

This initiative was meant to meet the unique needs and challenges faced by state’s MSMEs. It was designed to cultivate confidence between lenders and borrowers thereby nurturing an ecosystem of trust and facilitating budding entrepreneurs in accessing essential support to transform their innovative ideas into reality.

He highlighted that while reiterating how much the MSME sector form the backbone of the economy also highlighted the fact that the initiatives like the ACGS combined with the Central Scheme like Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) and Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Axam Asoni under Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. 

He reflected that such initiatives will play a pivotal roles in fostering entrepreneurial spirit of the youth of the state. He believes that the they encourage youth to be job creators than job seekers.

He said that Dr Sarma has plan to make Assam among top five industrially developed  states in the country.

He urged everyone to leverage the day’s platform to foster dialogue, address, challenges and collectively work towards the prosperous future of the nation and Assam.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Dr. Rabi Kota, Secretary Dr Lakshmanan S, Commissioner of Department of Industries, Oinam Saran Kumar Singh.
