Railways extends special trains for benefit of passengers; Check details

Cancellation, diversion and rescheduling of trains has been announced amid developmental works

New Delhi: The Indian Railways (IR) has decided to extend the services of several special trains to accommodate passengers during the extra rush. These trains will maintain their existing days of service, timings, and stoppages. 

The extended services include Train No. 07029 (Agartala – Secunderabad) from 5 July to 4 October 2024, Train No. 07030 (Secunderabad – Agartala) from 1 July to 30 September 2024, Train No. 03028 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) from 4 July to 1 August 2024, Train No. 03027 (Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) from 3 to 31 July 2024, Train No. 03106 (Jagiroad – Sealdah) from 6 to 27 July 2024, and Train No. 03105 (Sealdah – Jagiroad) from 5 to 26 July 2024.

An official said, "In response to proposed pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking works in the Gonda-Burhwal section of North Eastern Railway and non-Interlocking works at Andul station under the Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway, some trains are being cancelled, diverted, and rescheduled."

"Cancellation of Train No. 05656 (Guwahati – Jammu Tawi) Express: commencing journey on 1 July 2024. Diversion of trains: train No. 12508 (Silchar – Thiruvananthapuram Central) Express: Commencing journey on 4 July 20," added the release.
