Shillong: Union Minister of State for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma joined the Rozgar Mela at the headquarters of the Directorate General of Assam Rifles, Laitkor, Shillong to distribute appointment letters to the new recruits following the Prime Minister’s address on August 28.
Over 200 numbers of recruits received their appointment letters at the 8th edition of Rozgar Mela held in Shillong.
The Union Minister said the process is on for providing 10 lakh government jobs to youths in different ministries and departments of the central government.
The Minister also appreciated the efforts put forward by the Centre in providing opportunities for the youth to appear for the recruitment examinations in local languages. He opined that this effort would enable youths from different parts of the country to appear in the examinations being conducted in 13 local languages in places of English or Hindi as was the case earlier.
Baiahunlang Syngkli, one of the new recruits to BSF from Meghalaya, said, “I am very happy and the glory goes to God. I am happy for getting this job because I have been working hard from the beginning.”
Another recruit from Meghalaya, Parbati Hajong, said, “We are getting a chance to join the force (CAPF). There cannot be anything happier than this.”
