Guwahati: Luxmi Group has made a pact with the Assam Government to develop a 75-acre tea tourism project to improve infrastructure, education, hospitality and healthcare in the region.
Rudra Chatterjee, Managing Director of Luxmi Group, emphasised Assam Tea’s global significance and the increasing demand for tea as a healthier alternative to sugary and alcoholic beverages. He highlighted the potential of tea tourism, leveraging Assam’s rich biodiversity and scenic landscapes to attract global visitors.
The initiative also aims to create job opportunities for local groups. Additionally, Chatterjee discussed Luxmi Group’s collaboration with Coca-Cola and its endorsement of Rwanda’s profit-sharing model in the tea industry.
