Larsen and Toubro today said that its division L&T Construction's buildings and factories business has got a contract from the Assam government to build a police reserve campus in Guwahati. The contract has been received from the Assam Public Works Department.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said it has also received an order from a top car manufacturer to build a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Haryana.
The scope of work in Guwahati comprises the design and construction of police lodging, office space, multi-level parking, and affiliated buildings in all areas including structure, finishes, MEP, and related exterior development works. This project is scheduled to be completed in 36 months.
At around noon, Larsen & Toubro (L&T)was trading at Rs. 1,907.15 per piece, up by 1.91 percent from its previous closing of Rs1,871.45 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1,881.20 and touched intraday high and low of Rs. 1,915 and Rs. 1,881.20 respectively.
