Agartala: The Centre has declared Nischintapur Railway Station in Tripura a Land Customs Station (LCS).
The station has been developed as part of the ambitious Agartala-Akhaura international rail link project.
Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, in a social media post on September 7, mentioned that Nischintapur Railway Station has received LCS status. It was declared in a gazette notification on September 6.
Chowdhury called it a step towards fulfilling the aspiration of the people for the much-awaited international rail link.
