IEML and EPCH conduct E-Nurture Programme in Northeast

Guwahati: The India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) have jointly conducted the a-nurture program, designed to empower entrepreneurs from the handicraft sector in Northeastern India.

As part of IEML's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, the online program attracted 39 artisans and entrepreneurs from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram. Participants received training on a variety of essential topics including product development, merchandising trends, product packaging, growing your business through social media or digital marketing, managing quality, export marketing essentials and documentation.

The program featured distinguished speakers such as project director Harbinder Singh, assistant director Amla Shrivastav, and export promotion Officer Deepesh whose expertise enriched the learning experience, said an official release.

The official release said, "The E-Nurture Program aims to have a lasting impact on its 39 participants, equipping them with the skills and confidence to effectively navigate the digital marketplace. This initiative highlights the commitment of IEML and EPCH to support artisans in North East India, ensuring their crafts gain recognition and sustainability in the modern economy."

This initiative underscores our commitment to empowering artisans with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the global market," said Bhaskar Baruah, project officer of the EPCH in the Northeast.
