Itanagar: Haldiram’s, a popular Indian sweets and snacks chain, is considering setting up a manufacturing plant and opening an exclusive outlet in Arunachal Pradesh.
The chairman of Haldiram’s, Manohar Aggrawal, and the Managing Director, Madhu Sudan Aggrawal, met with Chief Minister Pema Khandu to discuss the potential expansion. During the meeting, they also discussed the agricultural and horticultural potential of the state.
Haldiram’s, headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, currently has manufacturing plants in Nagpur, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Hooghly, Rudrapur and Noida. The company operates retail stores and restaurants in various cities, including Pune, Nagpur, Raipur, Kolkata, Noida, and Delhi.
With a product range of over 410 items, Haldiram’s offers a variety of traditional Indian sweets, snacks, cookies, sherbets, and pickles. The company’s interest in expanding its operations to Arunachal Pradesh highlights the state’s potential as a market for its products and the growth opportunities available.
Khandu has assured Haldiram's of the government's complete support in their expansion plans, emphasising the importance of the collaboration in strengthening the state’s economy.
