A seminar aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs was recently conducted by FICCI FLO at ITA Machkhuwa. The event featured training sessions focused on educating women about key aspects of the MSME sector, including Udyam registration, the distinctions between manufacturers, service providers, and traders, as well as insights into how an enterprise operates.
The special guest of honor for the event was Lokesh Kumar Praganiha, Deputy Director of MSME, Government of India, while Vikash K Agarwal, an industrial and environmental management consultant, was the guest speaker.
Lokesh Kumar Praganiha emphasized the crucial role of women entrepreneurs in driving the state and national GDP, stating, "Women entrepreneurs are the key to the success of our state and national economy. They are performing exceptionally well in the MSME sector. We are continuously organizing training programs for both urban and rural women, and it is a pivotal time for entrepreneurs to take advantage of these opportunities."
Vikash K Agarwal highlighted the operational aspects of running an enterprise, explaining the importance of Udyam registration. "Today’s session focused on the benefits of Udyam registration, the updated schemes, and how these women can expand their businesses. The MSME sector has long been the backbone of India, and this year’s budget has placed a strong emphasis on supporting MSMEs."
Shweta Jindal, Chairperson of FICCI FLO, also shared insights about their efforts to skill women entrepreneurs: "We have two skilling centers, Ramdhenu, where we provide training in tailoring, beauty services, and mushroom cultivation. Many of the women who want to start their own businesses are present at this seminar today."
