The Educatus Expo, Guwahati 2025, held on May 31 and June 1 at Vivanta Guwahati, concluded on a successful note, drawing many students and parents seeking guidance on higher education options. The two-day educational fair brought together over 35 universities and colleges from across the country, offering a wide array of programs across engineering, medical, management, arts, and emerging fields.

Designed as a one-stop platform for students who recently completed their 10th or 12th-grade exams, or those considering career transitions, the expo served as a vital link between educational institutions and aspiring learners.

Organised by SS Exhibition and Media Pvt. Ltd., the event provided opportunities for students to interact directly with university representatives, ask questions, explore course options, and receive counselling tailored to their interests and academic background.

Business Northeast (BNE) spoke to Manish Dhanda, Founder of SS Exhibition and Media Pvt. Ltd., the organising body behind Educatus. Reflecting on the journey of the expo, Dhanda said:

"We entered the exhibition space back in 2006, and for nearly two decades, our goal has remained the same — to provide a common platform where students and parents can connect with reputed higher education institutions. The idea is to simplify the college selection process, especially for those interested in engineering, medical, or management programs.”

Dhanda explained that the expo’s core objective is to bridge the gap between students, parents, and educational institutions so that young aspirants can make informed decisions about their careers.

Despite heavy rain on the opening day, the event saw a steady stream of visitors.

“We anticipated a good turnout, and even with the weather challenges, students and parents have shown a lot of enthusiasm. More than 35 institutions are participating today, and we expect even more engagement on the final day,” he added.

Representatives from participating universities also expressed their support for the initiative. A university official, who has been a part of the Educatus Expo for the past five years, shared:

“This platform allows us to interact directly with students and guide them through their academic uncertainties. Today, with so many colleges and courses available, students often face confusion about what to pursue. We’re here to help them understand the options and potential career paths based on their interests and goals.”

The representative added that they counsel an average of 50 to 60 students daily, helping them choose the right course after Class 12, and offering insight into career opportunities associated with different academic streams.

As the expo heads into its final day, both organisers and participating institutions are hopeful of engaging with more students and parents, reaffirming the Educatus Expo’s role as a trusted educational guidance hub.
