BHEL Q1 net loss widens to Rs 211.4 crore

New Delhi: BHEL, a government-owned company, announced on Wednesday that its combined net loss grew to Rs 211.40 crore in the June quarter due to increased expenses.

The company reported a loss of Rs 204.70 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous 2023-24 fiscal year, as stated in a filing with the stock exchange. In the previous quarter, the company's overall revenue increased to Rs 5,581.78 crore compared to Rs 5,117.20 crore in the same period last year.

Expenditure amounted to Rs 5,874.98 crore compared to Rs 5,409.47 crore from the previous year. BHEL, one of the biggest engineering and manufacturing firms in India, is Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.
