Adani Airports Terminates Lounge Access Partnership with DragonPass

Adani Airport Holdings has proclaimed the immediate end of its partnership with DragonPass, a global service that provides airport lounge access to its members. 

The choice means DragonPass customers will no longer be qualified to access lounges at any airport managed by the Adani Group, including the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati.

The statement was made via an official media statement issued by Adani Airport Holdings on Wednesday. The company elucidated that the move is effective straightaway and applies across all Adani-operated airports countrywide.

“Our association with DragonPass, which provided access to airport lounges, has been terminated with immediate effect. DragonPass customers will no longer have access to lounges at Adani-managed airports. This change will have no impact on the airport lounge and travel practice for other customers,” said a spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings.

DragonPass, headquartered in the UK, is a leading provider of travel-related benefits, including access to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide.

It is lengthily used by credit cardholders, premium customers of banks, and business travellers who value high-class pre-boarding facilities such as comfortable seating, snacks, workspaces, and showers.

The unforeseen end of the agreement has raised concerns among travellers who rely on DragonPass for a seamless airport experience. 

While the company has guaranteed that other customers will not be jammed, there has been no word yet on whether another preparation or new lounge access provider will be presented.

Adani Group, which operates seven major airports in India including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati, has been increasing its footmark in the aviation sector since obtaining a mainstream stake in these amenities.

The end of DragonPass access might signal a planned shift toward high-class or in-house loyalty agendas and partnerships.

Travel industry predictors propose that this change could affect high-frequency domestic and international travellers who depend on third-party services for reliable lounge access across airports. 

Travellers are instructed to check with their service providers and airports for updated lounge access policies before preparing their journey.

As of now, DragonPass has not brought a public reply to the end.
