Guwahati: Assam Startup Fest 2023, the first-ever startup festival of the North East, which is an initiative of the state Assam Government, is organised by Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC) in collaboration with Assam Startup- the Nest.
The fest was inaugurated on Wednesday by state Industries and Commerce minister Bimal Borah.
The main aim is to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the state and exhibit the startups products of Assam, through such kind of unique platforms, said, Chinmoy Prakash Phookan, AIIDC MD.
“Under the guidance of Assam Government, AIIDC in collaboration with Assam Startup- the Nest has come up with Assam Startup Fest 2023 for the very first time in not just Assam but also North East. Through this fest, we are trying to reach out to various startups with their innovative and creative ideas and bring them under the umbrella of Assam Startup - the Nest and connect them to the market," Phookan told Business-North East (BNE).
Assam Startup Fest 2023 commenced on August 23 and will conclude on August 25 on the premises of Assam Startup-the Nest, Ambari, Guwahati.
“Startup exhibition has also been added to the fest with an aim to exhibit the startup products and develop the startup units. We have received a good response from all the Assam-based start-ups. We are hopeful that this fest will draw a good response from people,” Phookan told BNE.
He added that leading business personalities and mentors have been invited and there will be two pitching sessions with the industrial bodies, where startups can join and present their unique ideas. The sale is going to take place from the second day of the exhibition.
