The Assam government has officially launched the Orunodoi 3.0 scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to over 24.6 lakh economically disadvantaged families. In the coming weeks, an additional 12 lakh beneficiaries will be included in this pioneering women-centric Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) initiative, set to reach 37 lakh women by early 2025, each receiving 1,250 Rs monthly.
East Guwahati MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya noted the strong demand for Orunodoi coverage among constituents, emphasizing the positive impact of the scheme on local families. New beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are very happy, as this scheme will help us financially."

Launched at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Dispur, the program included live presentations at various locations across the region, highlighting its commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable segments of society. Orunodoi 3.0 aims to ensure financial stability and improved health outcomes for millions in Assam.
