Assam CM distributes dozens of job appointment letters

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday distributed appointment letters to 41 candidates in various departments within the Education sector, bringing the total number of government jobs provided since he took over the post to 97,495. 

The distribution included 22 candidates from the Department of Higher Education, 12 from the Department of Technical Education, and 7 from  State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). 

The Chief Minister expressed the government's commitment to enhancing employment opportunities and supporting youth empowerment across the state. he state government, led by Sarma, announced the recruitment of 1,000 additional candidates on August 15, 2024, to fulfill their pledge to recruit 1.50 lakh youths into government jobs within a five-year term.

For ADRE grade 3, the prelims examination is scheduled held on September 15, 22, and 29, 2024. The recruitment exam for grade 3 will be conducted for over 7,500 vacancies. Under ADRE grade 4, the prelims examination will be held on October 20 and 27 for over 4,500 vacancies.

Sarma also emphasized the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth, particularly those in engineering colleges, and called upon them to cultivate a conducive start-up ecosystem within educational institutions.
