The primary objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to women entrepreneurs taking up business ventures. Existing business ventures will also be eligible under the scheme for expansion, modernization, and diversification. The applicant can receive a term loan and a working capital loan at an 8% interest rate.

Implementation

 Under this scheme, the loans will be sanctioned to women who are engaged in a viable business. The maximum amount of loan is Rs15 lakh, and 75% of assistance for a project will be offered as a loan. The scheme is aimed at women entrepreneurs aged between 18 years to 50 years. The rate of interest is 8% p/a and the upfront processing fee is 1% of the term loan.

Progress

Detailed project report has to be prepared for availing of the loans. This scheme has been successful in motivating women's entrepreneurship by financially supporting them and encouraging them to be self-sufficient.
