Wipro net profit dips 0.4% in Q4

Mumbai: Wipro Limited registered a fall of 0.4 percent in its net profit in the quarter ending March 31 as compared to the same period last year. The company’s net profit during the fourth quarter of the Financial Year 2023 was Rs. 3074.5 crores.

The IT major also approved a share buyback for 2.69 crore shares at Rs 445 per share.
The firm's IT Services operating margin for the quarter was at 16.3 percent as compared to the third quarter of the Financial Year 2023.

The gross revenue of the Bengaluru-based company fell 0.2 percent Quarter on Quarter during the quarter. However, it was up 11.7 percent year on year basis.

The Chief Financial officer Jatin Dalal said that they continue to maintain their focus on operational improvements and productivity enhancements which led to their Information Technology Services margin exit at 16.3 percent in Quarter 4.
