New Delhi: Jagdeep Dhankhar, unveiled the 'Prerna Sthal' at the Parliament House Complex on Monday. This newly constructed enclave now serves as a unified home for statues of India's leaders and freedom fighters, previously scattered across various locations within the premises.
The inauguration of Prerna Sthal is expected to enhance the visitor experience through improved accessibility and the integration of modern technologies. Notably, QR codes have been employed to provide interactive narratives on the life and achievements of these iconic figures from Indian history, ensuring that their legacy remains accessible and inspiring to all who visit.
Dhankhar, visibly moved by the occasion, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to honor India's revered leaders in such a dignified manner. He emphasized that Prerna Sthal is not merely a physical space but a reservoir of inspiration, where every citizen can connect with the profound stories of these luminaries and draw motivation from their enduring contributions.
Following the unveiling ceremony, the Vice President, joined by distinguished guests including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and several Union Ministers such as Kiren Rijiju, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Ashwini Vaishnav, paid homage to the statues housed within Prerna Sthal with floral tributes.
The establishment of Prerna Sthal has been accompanied by discussions ensuring that the relocation of statues was conducted with utmost respect for their historical significance, aiming to consolidate and facilitate a more immersive educational experience for visitors.
The occasion also saw Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla addressing concerns, emphasizing that the intention behind consolidating these statues was to provide a centralized location where their stories and contributions.
