Vedanta Reports 37 per cent Increase in Q1 Net Profit, Reaching Rs 3,606 Crore

New Delhi:Mining conglomerate Vedanta Ltd announced a 36.5 percent increase in total net profit to Rs 3,606 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024. 

In the previous fiscal year, the company's net profit was Rs 2,640 crore.
According to an exchange filing, the company's consolidated income increased to Rs 36,698 crore in April-June, up from Rs 34,279 crore the previous year.

Vedanta Ltd, a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Ltd, is one of the world's leading natural resource companies, with operations in India, South Africa, Namibia, Liberia, the UAE, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. 

The company's shares were trading at Rs 414.20 apiece on the BSE.
