Union Minister reviews execution of approved projects in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday reviewed the execution of approved projects under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) in Arunachal Pradesh and laid a roadmap for future plans.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister, and Minister of Social Justice Empowerment and Tribal Affairs. Rijiju announced the release of financial assistance of Rs. 35 crores as the central share for ongoing projects under the program. 

He also announced two new projects for Kumchaikha of Diyun Circle and Pakpu Maling. The government's commitment to the development of minorities, particularly Buddhist communities in Arunachal Pradesh, was emphasized.

The roadmap for early execution of 10 projects under the Buddhist Development Plan (BDP) of the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs was also discussed. This program aims to converge various ongoing schemes of the Ministry, such as PMJVK, PM-Vikas, Scholarship, and programs administered by the National Minorities Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NMDFC).
