Guwahati: The 13th Triennial General Council of the All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) was held in Guwahati on July 9th. AIBOC, beyond being a trade union, advocates for the rights of bank officers and extends its influence to benefit the wider public and address corporate interests.
The event was graced by prominent figures including Shri MV. Rao, Chairman of the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) and MD & CEO of Central Bank of India, who was welcomed as the chief guest by AIBOC's General Secretary, Rupam Roy. The Guest of Honour was CH Venkatachalam, General Secretary of AIBEA (All India Bank Employees' Association), a renowned figure in the trade union movement. Leaders from both banking and trade sectors also participated, underscoring the event's significance and breadth of representation.
