Traveltech startup businesses have transformed the industry landscape, offering advanced and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of travellers in India. From OYO, the multinational hospitality chain of leased and franchised hotels, ixigo and MakeMyTrip, the country has seen many startup companies redefining how people explore the world.

Among these, a pioneering startup in the Northeast, Travysys, has emerged as a beacon of innovation in the travel industry. Founded by 33-year-old Monoj Protim Bora, formerly a sailor in the Indian Navy, Travysys is poised to transform the travel landscape with its all-encompassing digital platform.

“We are a comprehensive travel aggregator offering a wide range of travel tech solutions," Travysys Founder and CEO Monoj Protim Bora said while explaining how the platform combines various travel and booking services, covering everything from cabs, bikes, flights, and trains to hotels, homestays, helicopter rides, and even cruise bookings.

“Travysys is a one-stop travel tech platform that aggregates diverse travel services, offering real-time bookings for transportation, personalized AI-driven itineraries, and 24/7 trip monitoring for a seamless travel experience. Its use of blockchain ensures the authenticity and traceability of local products, fostering trust while promoting cultural immersion. Unlike traditional platforms, Travysys emphasizes sustainable tourism by offering eco-friendly travel options and reducing tourists' carbon footprint,” Founder and CEO Monoj Protim Bora told Business North East (BNE).

"We received Rs. 1 lakh, and after receiving it, we immediately started our operations," he said while speaking about his selection among the 25,000 candidates who had applied for financial aid under the CMAAA 2.0 program.

“From November, we started generating revenue and closed December at Rs. 5 lakhs in revenue. We achieved this in just two months. We are targeting Rs. 30 lakhs by the end of the financial year 2024,” Monoj Protim Bora stated.

“We aim to simplify travel while keeping costs affordable. In fact, our services are even cheaper than MakeMyTrip,” Manoj added, highlighting the focus on affordability and accessibility.

Travysys has built a wide system of companies with merchants across India and around the world, ensuring a continuous and dependable booking experience for users. Travellers can access all services in real-time, making it possible to book their travel preparations promptly.

“We are revolutionizing the entire travel experience by giving users the freedom to personalize their journeys. Along with travel bookings, users can add unique activities such as fishing, farming, or exploring agri-tours, spiritual tours, and wellness retreats,” he further explained.

These customizable diversities allow travellers to discover conventional travel and plunge themselves into more subtle and stimulating contributions.

Moreover, the platform will roll out live flight booking aptitudes in mid-January, positioning the company as the first travel tech company from Northeast India to offer real-time flight reservation services.

“This milestone would not have been possible without the small travel agents we took along with us. We have comprised them in our journey to safeguard that local trades benefit as well,” Monoj highlighted during a telephonic conversation with BNE.

The platform is not just about reservation services but also about providing worth and single contributions. Alongside budget-friendly options, the company presents features like group activity planning and packages that cater to niche welfares, such as agrarian travel and wellness trips.

By uniting advanced technology focussing on affordability and inclusivity, Travysys aims to create a stage where users can plan every travel feature, from transportation to lodging and activities.
