Both Indian and international vendors took part in a recent Wedding Asia fair, which was held in the Aashi Apsara Banquet Hall in Guwahati, Assam, from November 24-November 25. About 33 stalls displayed a wide range of products at the marriage fair.
“Here, you can get a range of times from Rs 10,000 to Rs 2 lakh," an organizer told Business North East.
Now, what is Wedding Asia? New Delhi-based Wedding Asia brings together entrepreneurs under one roof to display their products for all kinds of purposes at weddings.
For customers, such pop-up events are very useful as they can avail of a variety of items on one platform. “With such events, people need not go outside Assam to buy luxury items for marriages," a vendor shared with the outlet.
From dresses and jewellery to bedroom furnishings, Wedding Asia is bringing in collections suitable for all sorts of couples.
Wedding Asia launched in 2006, and it was the first of its kind that the country had witnessed. “Catering to a wide range of consumers, the collections at Wedding Asia reflect the craftsmanship of its designers through blends of modern and traditional, classical and contemporary," another person present at the venue told Business North East.
Wedding Asia says mission is to provide a common platform to the sellers and buyers of the Indian wedding industry and thus play a part in reducing the hassle of knocking on one door after the other.
