New Delhi: On Monday, Tata Power announced that it has installed 50,000 home chargers for electric vehicles nationwide, along with over 500 charging points for electric buses in major cities since April last year, enhancing the country's electric vehicle charging infrastructure and promoting the rapid growth of e-mobility. It was reported that a grand total of one hundred thousand EV chargers have been installed at various sites nationwide, in addition to more than 1,100 chargers specifically for electric buses over the past five years.
These chargers, numbering one lakh, can be found in far-off areas of the country and are facilitating the adoption of e-mobility by providing customers with a smooth and dependable charging experience right at their doorstep.
Tata Power's emphasis on enhancing EV charging infrastructure in India with public, semi-public, and home chargers shows its dedication to environmental responsibility, driving India towards a cleaner transportation future, as mentioned.
The company stated that it has an expanding network of more than 5,600 Radio Frequency Identification enabled charge points, both public and captive, spread across malls, hotels, hospitals, offices, residential societies, highways, and more. These charge points are centrally monitored by an advanced Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Mumbai.
