Shah innaugurated 5 projects worth Rs. 52 cr in Nagaland

Kohima: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated 5 different development works worth Rs.52 crore in Nagaland, the Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement.

According to the ministry, they include "Virtual Reality (VR) laboratories in 42 government higher secondary schools at a cost of roughly 8 crore, Atal Tinkering Labs erected at a cost of 1 crore 80 lakh in 9 government higher secondary schools, 12.5 megawatt (MV) sub-station at Chiephobozou at a cost of 14 crore, hiking and base camp at Mount Saramati, Thanamir village, and Kiphire, and two lane bridge on doy

The Union Home Minister stated in his speech that Nagaland is a place where the cultures of several tribes come together. As one of the top 25 biodiversity hotspots in the world, Nagaland has tremendous tourist potential.

Amit Shah reported that 5 various development projects totaling 52 crore had been inaugurated today. He said that all of the North Eastern states are currently on the path to growth as a result of the Narendra Modi administration's development strategy for the whole Northeast.

Shah claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has eliminated the mental and emotional barriers that existed between the rest of the nation and the North East, in addition to providing the area with physical connectivity. The establishment of the three P's—Peace, Progress, and Prosperity—in Nagaland, according to the Union Home Minister, has been a triumph for the government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He claimed that Modi has taken various steps to elevate India's North East to a national level.

According to Amit Shah, compared to the eight-year period from 2004 to 2014, when the previous federal administration was in power, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased the funding provided to Nagaland by a factor of four.

He claimed that only Rs. 1,283 crore was allotted to Nagaland in 2009–2010, but that the 15th Finance Commission established a provision of Rs. 4,773 crore for Nagaland in 2022–23. In addition, he claimed, Nagaland will also receive special assistance of Rs. 219 crore in 2021–22.

According to the Union Home Minister, the Government of India has put a lot of effort into enhancing public facilities in addition to developing its infrastructure. 15 national highway project totaling over 266 km in length and costing Rs. 4,127 crore have been officially opened.

He said that 2.18 lakh households in the state's inhospitable regions now had access to tap water as a result of the Jal Jeevan Mission. In fact, the government is covering up to Rs. 5 lakh in medical expenditures for more than 3 lakh individuals via the Ayushman Yojana. According to Shah, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is providing homes to 54,636 households, and 15,000 of those homes have already been finished.

The government has also been giving every impoverished individual in Nagaland five kg of rice every month for free for the past 2.5 years.
