The Innovative Farmers Demo Park in Botsa, Kohima, was inaugurated on April 4 by the Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, in the presence of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Neiphiu Rio, farmers, and village leaders from 12 villages. The park aims to contribute to income growth and diversify livelihoods while promoting Horti Tourism, which will generate revenue through recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

The project will serve as a community engagement platform for farmers to share experiences and learn about new technologies, research-driven practices, and sustainable methods, contributing to the local economy and serving as a model for others to follow.

Inaugurating the Park, Kruse thanked everyone involved in this project for their relentless work to make this dream a reality and encouraged farmers, experts and labourers to remember the significance of responsible farming practices and to commit to sustainable methods that protect our soil, conserve water and respect the delicate balance of nature while embarking on this new chapter of the agricultural journey.
