Promoter Nishant Pitti sells 14 pc stake in EaseMyTrip for Rs 920 cr

New Delhi: Nishant Pitti, a promoter of Easy Trip Planners, sold a 14 per cent stake in the company for Rs 920 crore via open market deals on Wednesday. Based on the bulk deal information found on the NSE, Nishant Pitti divested 24,65,49,833 shares, representing a 14 pc ownership in Easy Trip Planners. The shares were sold at prices ranging from Rs 37.22 to Rs 38.28 each, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 920.06 crore.

Following the sale of his stake, Nishant Pitti now owns 14.22 per cent of Easy Trip Planners, down from 28.13 per cent. Additionally, the promoters' total ownership has decreased to 50.39 percent from 64.30 percent. In the meantime, Core4 Marcom bought 5 crore shares of Easy Trip Planners, while Craft Emerging Market Fund PCC - Elite Capital Fund purchased 1.05 crore shares of the company, as per data on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stocks were bought at prices ranging from Rs 34.25 to Rs 37.95 each, resulting in a total deal worth of Rs 225.71 crore.

Information about the other purchasers of Easy Trip Planners' shares was not able to be determined. Easy Trip Planners owns the online travel booking platform EaseMyTrip. Nishant Pitti, Rikant Pitti, and Prashant Pitti established the business in 2008. Easy Trip Planners' shares dropped by 15.32 per cent on Wednesday, ending at Rs 34.70 each on the NSE
