Handique Girl’s College to open an innovation centre soon- Principal, HGC
Guwahati: The Handique Girl’s College organized a one week national workshop intellectual property right, academic ethics and innovation for entrepreneurship development jointly with patent information centre, Assam Science and Technology and environment council.
Stated from November 6 it will continue till November 10.
Speaking to media, Dr Ranjit Sharma, Principal of Handique Girl’s College said that this workshop will bring many experts in the fields from across the country who will deliver their lectures both in online and offline mode.
He is glad that a number of participants took part in this event. He expects that a positive outcome will be drawn out from this workshop.
Business Northeast asked Dr Sharma as that in today’s world there is such cry for NIRF ranking and other university rankings, where would they like to place Handique Girl’s College. He replied that indeed they will have to do lot of things. He is aware that there are some problems too. As Government is thinking of turning the college into a university, still they are facing some infrastructural problem. They are really trying so that soon the college can achieve good rank.
Speaking about the innovation and entrepreneurship scope in the college he said that they are soon planning to open an innovation centre in the campus. They are also planning to open an entrepreneurship centre. They are in touch with various organisations for the same.
