Kohima: The Department of Commerce and Industries celebrated the National Startup day 2023 by organising a session and product exhibition for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
The Assistant Director of the Department of Industries and Commerce (Tech) and Team Leader, Keneirienuo K Theunuo, in her welcome address stated that Startup Nagaland aims to promote and encourage the start-up culture in the state.
She highlighted on the Startup India initiative announced by Prime Minister of India in 2016 which aims to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation and Startups in the country.
The Joint Director of Department of Industries & Commerce Y. Lipongse Thongtsar, in his keynote address suggested building a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation in the state that can scale to large degree.
The journey as an incubator was shared by the five incubators in the state namely- YouthNet Incubation Centre, EduCentre School of Business, Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NAGABOTS.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Manager, YIC, Neikepekho Shosahie and Ilandlo Services Private Limited shared their Startup Experience.
