New Delhi: myTVS announced that it will incorporate 10,000 electric two-wheelers into its fleet by March next year for its latest offering, 'Mobility-as-a-Service', targeted at last-mile electric vehicle operators. The organization, belonging to the TS Rajam sector of the TVS family's TVS Mobility Group, has joined forces with MoEVing, an electric vehicle-focused logistics company, to launch Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) in order to offer comprehensive vehicle management solutions.

According to myTVS Managing Director G Srinivasa Raghavan, there is a window of opportunity to electrify 10 lakh vehicles in the e-commerce sector in the next 5 to 10 years, but there is an urgent requirement to electrify at least 10,000 vehicles by March.

He mentioned that the 10,000 vehicles will be electric motorcycles. He stated that adding the new vehicles will require an investment of Rs 100-150 crore, to be funded by TVS Vehicle Mobility or its partners. He mentioned that the company has initiated the first release of 250 electric two-wheelers and approximately 50 light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Optimistic about the new business, Raghavan stated, "With over a million vehicles needing to be electrified in e-commerce within the next 5 to 10 years, we are confident in our ability to offer a distinctive, unique solution that brings substantial value to customers." He stated that the company's 'MaaS' platform was created to meet the changing demands of personal mobility and fleet customers, providing efficiency and sustainability.
