Shillong: Meghalaya’s chief inspector of boilers and factories on Wednesday notified that two factories would be derecognized and deleted from the list of factories registered in the state.
According to an official communiqué, the M/s T M Stone Crusher Industry situated in the West Garo Hills region and registered under the Factories Act 1948 is being derecognized and its name has been deleted from the list of registered factories. Similarly, M/s Slalung Tea Enterprise in Ri Bhoi, another company registered under the Factories Act 1948 has also been derecognized and deleted from the registry.
The official in the release, however, did not go into details regarding what had necessitated the move.
