New Delhi: IndiGo has introduced a new feature allowing them to view seats pre-booked by other women while selecting seats during web check-in.

The airline announced this initiative, stating it was implemented following extensive market research with the goal of improving the travel experience for women. IndiGo has said that the introduction of this feature underscores their commitment to "passenger safety and inclusivity." "The rationale behind this move is to empower women passengers with the choice to optimize their seating arrangements, especially when traveling alone, with an emphasis on enhancing their sense of security throughout the flight", the Indian airlines company has said.

This feature enables women travelers, particularly those flying solo, to make informed decisions about their seat preferences. By identifying seats occupied by other women, passengers have the option to select seats adjacent to fellow female travelers for added "peace of mind" during their journey.
