Guwahati: Many dream of opening their own start-ups in Guwahati. But with office spaces at a premium, most would like to save up on their operating expenses.
'DreamHatcher', the state’s first co-working space startup, was conceptualized with this conundrum in mind. DreamHatcher was launched on July 7, 2021, at the Vinyl Café in the Zoo Road area of Guwahati and was initiated by Pankaj Gogoi and Ankita Jain from StartupAssam, a society for developing the startup ecosystem. (do they have anymore branches? their Facebook says they also have other branches apart from the one at zoo? please verify)
The startup has now become a springboard for other aspiring startups to start working from.
"It was during the Covid-19 pandemic that coworking spaces started here in Guwahati," said Vinyl Café owner Rumi Dutta. It was incubated uncube Uncube which is now called a [Knot] based in Delhi. (Are you sure it is called 'Knot'? Please verify; cannot compromise with facts and names)
Started by RB Enterprises with Rumi Dutta as proprietor.” (what was started? This is an incomplete sentence) "Knock is a commission agent” said the owner. "It was a tri-party agreement." (Is it 'Knot or 'Knock'?)
The concept aims to address the lack of proper workspaces for entrepreneurs and rising real estate costs. The space manages infrastructure and offers electricity, power backup, coffee, high-speed internet, community interaction, and meeting rooms.
Ritesh Kanu, Director of Drones Tech Lab who availed co-working space under the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta Innovation Park said that they took equity share when they incubated in 2017 and were provided a plug-and-play office. "Some of the benefits we got are internet, electricity, desk, etc. We were offered bank loans, mentorship, etc", he told Business North East.
The percentage was 5 percent. For IIM. He has a space in T-Hub too in Hyderabad. There they are required to pay. In Guwahati, most of the workspaces are paid. Now they have their own working space. Now, he takes credit for opening the first drone training school in the Northeast. please rephrase this paragraph so that it makes sense; kindly write full sentences; who did what how when where, everything
