How co-working spaces are helping Guwahati startups hatch dreams

Guwahati: Many dream of opening their own start-ups in Guwahati. But with office spaces at a premium, most would like to save up on their operating expenses.

'DreamHatcher', the state’s first co-working space startup, was conceptualized with this conundrum in mind. The concept aims to address the lack of proper workspaces for entrepreneurs and rising real estate costs. The space manages infrastructure and offers electricity, power backup, coffee, high-speed internet, community interaction, and meeting rooms.

Ritesh Kanu, Director of Drones Tech Lab who availed co-working space under the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta Innovation Park said that they took equity share when they incubated in 2017 and were provided a plug-and-play office. "Some of the benefits we got are internet, electricity, desk, etc. We were offered bank loans, mentorship, etc", he told Business North East.
