Guwahati: Gautam Kumar Goyari has taken over as the Chief General Manager and Refinery Head of Guwahati Refinery following the transfer of SP Singh from the position.
Goyari, a chemical engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, has a long and diverse career within Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
Goyari began his journey with India Oil Corp. Ltd. in 1988, joining as a production engineer. Over the years, he has gained experience in various departments and refineries. He has worked in the Production and Technical Services departments at the Digboi and Guwahati refineries, and he has also served in the sales and Business Development department under the Assam Oil Division.
One notable contribution of Goyari's career includes his involvement in the commissioning of BS VI projects at the Digboi Refinery. He played a role in the commissioning of key units such as the hydrotreater, Hydrogen Generation unit, and sulphur Recovery Unit.
Additionally, he was associated with the completion and commissioning of the BS-VI Phase II project at the Guwahati Refinery, stated a press release.
