Prokriti Travels, the tourism unit of Rivtra LLP, has been awarded the Best Tourist Guide accolade by the Department of Tourism, Government of Assam, during the World Tourism Day celebrations.

In an interview with Business North East, Biswajeet Saikia expressed his joy and gratitude for the honor, stating, "I am delighted and humbled to accept the Best Tourist Guide Award on behalf of Prokriti Travels, Rivtra LLP's tourism unit, from Assam Tourism on World Tourism Day. We're proud to contribute to the growth of River Dolphin Safari and riverside tourism activities in Tezpur, showcasing the region's breathtaking beauty and cultural richness."

Saikia emphasized the importance of this recognition in reinforcing their commitment to sustainable river tourism, promoting Assam's inland waterways, and supporting local communities. Prokriti Travels, currently part of Rivtra LLP, has invested 1 Lac INR, with an expected Year-over-Year profit of 2 Lacs INR. The inspiration behind Prokriti Travels is to showcase the scenic beauty of the Brahmaputra river, its tributaries, and the vibrant riverside community activities in and around Tezpur. A key goal is to raise awareness about the conservation of the endangered Gangetic River Dolphins. Saikia highlighted that promoting tourism in the riverside community can provide a more sustainable and profitable alternative to poaching dolphins, thereby protecting this vital species and boosting the local economy.
