Gauhati University's All Northeast B-School Meet Draws Over 500 Students from Prestigious Institutions

Guwahati: Quality business education is the cornerstone of economic progress and innovation in any region, and Assam is no exception. It is emerging as a hub for superior business education, providing students with a platform to acquire the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to thrive in the dynamic world of commerce and entrepreneurship.

In an effort to impart quality business education in Nort East and the possibilities beyond. Department of Business Administration at Gauhati University recently hosted the inaugural All Northeast B-School Meet.

Moreover, shedding light on the boom of the startup ecosystem in this region,  NRL Ideation organised a Startup Bootcamp at the Gauhati University, which empasized the need for students to shed the conventional theory of looking and waiting for goverment job and to start ups.

Gauhati University, as it gears up to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2028, Department of Business Administration organised, "Euphemos: Bridging Horizon, Guiding Excellence," from October 13th t0 14th, 2023. Under the theme of "Leadership Odyssey," the All Northeast B-School Meet served as a unifying platform for the brightest minds hailing from prestigious business schools across the North-Eastern region.

The event was widespread, with all major institutions participating in numerous bizz event like ad-making, poster-making, case study presentations, and stock market simulation competitions.

The All Northeast B-School Meet, which witnessed participation from esteemed institutions like USTM, NEHU, Nagaland University, Tezpur University, Assam Women University, Jorhat, Assam Institute Of Management, NERIM, Royal Global University, and several others, drew in more than 500 students.

The event was graced by personalities, including Pratap Jyoti Handique, the Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University; PVSLN Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of NEDFI; Ashok Kr. Das, Director of OIL India; Kajal Saikia, Chief General Manager, HR, Legal, IOCL; Amrit Pal Singh, Dean of the Department of Commerce at Gauhati University, among other eminent dignitaries.

The two-day event featured a diverse array of engaging competitions designed to test participants' skills and foster creativity and teamwork. These included the Enigma Expedition, a thrilling treasure hunt; QuizzoMania, a highly competitive quiz competition; AdQuake, a platform for showcasing ad-making prowess; Caseathon, a challenging case study competition; Groove Gala, a high-energy dance competition; and more.

The All Northeast B-School Meet was not merely a gathering of like-minded students and educators; it was a convergence of knowledge, talent, and creativity.
