Guwahati: The highly anticipated Udgam 2025 exhibition will see 50 startups showcasing their stalls, marking a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship. Organized by the E-Cell at IIT Guwahati, the event is the largest entrepreneurial summit in the Northeast and is dedicated to fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth in the region and the country at large.
Rajesh Nambiar, Executive Director and State Head of IOAOD State Office Marketing Division, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, and Suprateek Roy, Client Success Partner at IDFC First Bank Ltd, will attend the E-Summit as Chief Guests.
Speaking to Business North East (BNE), Rahul Kumar, event coordinator at IIT Guwahati, shared, “There were many participants who wanted to take part, but we had to restrict it to 60.”
The E-Summit will be inaugurated today at 7 PM, setting the stage for an exciting lineup of activities and discussions. Startup Assam representatives such as Kankan, Kalyanjit, and Siddharth, along with Pravash Dey and NEDFi, will also lend their expertise. Additionally, online participation will feature prominent names like Bluegreen and 100x.VC, Ankur Capital, PalasTree Ventures and Antler.
The event promises a range of exciting attractions. Personalities like the COO of Google Cloud India, Udit G, founder of Apna College, Shradha Khapra, and events such as Sparkle, Intern Fair, PMx, Disrupt, Innovation Challenge, Shark Tank Panel, Madvertising will attend the event, making it a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovation enthusiasts.
The list of investors and incubation partners includes Manik from Titan Capital, Rahul Narvekar from India Network, Bhanu Prakash Reddy Varla, Ramgopal NC, Vivaswan B from IPV Ventures, Arora Ventures, Chandigarh Angel Network, Faad Capital, NorthEast Angel Network, Northeast Venture Fund, Karma Bhuyan, and YVC Ventures. Kankan, Kalyanjit and Siddharth from Startup Assam, along with Pravash Dey, will also participate online. Incubation partners include MATH (T-Hub), IIM CIP, Bio-Nest, TIC Research Park, NE Handicrafts, and ADTU Incubation.

The event will display cutting-edge technologies addressing real-world challenges with special spaces for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) interactions, facilitating significant networking opportunities.
Siddharth Bhuiyan told Assam Startup the Nest that they have referred some of the incubated startups. Startup expos in the Northeast - such as the Northeast Region Entrepreneurship & Startup Summit (NERES), celebrate the region's startup ecosystem and provide networking opportunities. These events cover topics like agri-food tech, textiles, and tourism. Entrepreneurship conclaves like the Northeast Startup & Entrepreneurs Conclave highlight startup achievements and investment landscapes. Industrial expos like Vibrant North East, which includes agri and rural expos, industrial expos, and North East Development Meet, showcase the region's textile industry. Small entrepreneurs can showcase their woollen products and connect with buyers. Other startup events in the Northeast include Tejaswini Assam Ideation, Winter Expo and Assam Startup.
