Guwahati: The Jeep Safari under Central Range, Kaziranga and Western Range along with Bagori will be restricted on February 1 owing to management issues.
Divisional Forest Officer of the Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, Kaziranga National Park in its recent notification declared that the wildlife sanctuary will be available for the tourists on February 4.
However, Elephant Safari and Jeep Safari in the Burhapahar and Agoratoli range will be open for people as usual, the notification stated. The park authorities further mentioned that elephant safari will be available for the tourists just like usual.
Recently, Assam Forest Unit announced that following the G20 delegates, jeep safari at KNP will be restricted on February 4. Jeep Safari in the Bagori and Agoratoli range was supposed to be paused for general public, as issued in the statement by the department.
According to the schedule, the first meeting will be held in Guwahati on February 2. The theme will revolve around Sustainable Finance Working Group Meeting under the Union Ministry of Finance.
On 6th February, the second meeting will be based on Youth 20 Inception Meeting, while on March 13, the meeting will be based on SAI 20 Inception meeting.
The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur recently visited Guwahati to review preparations of the inception meeting. The minister visited several venues including the IIT Guwahati, Sankardev Kalakshetra and conducted meetings and discussions with concerned officials of the state administration.
