Guwahati: The five-day Chandubi Mela featured a variety of activities and programmes. The festival celebrated a wide range of ethnic traditions and cultures.

Chandubi Festival of Assam began on January 1, 2023 and ended on January 5, 2023. The 13th edition of the festival drew tourists from near and far. Chandubi, located in the picturesque Kamrup district, is one of the state's major tourist attractions. It's also a popular picnic spot of Assam.

The main draws of the Chandubi festival included local folk culture, ethnic cuisine, local handloom, handicrafts, and dresses, among other things. The Chandubi Festival's main goal was to promote eco-tourism and ethnicity in this biodiversity hotspot of Assam.

The mela is also aimed at turning Chandubi village into an industrial center.
