Following the remarkable success of its recent release, "Sikaar," Big Films Media has announced its upcoming project, "Maya 8.8," a gripping horror film set to hit theaters in 2025. Directed by Debangkar Borgohain, the film promises to deliver an exciting cinematic experience for horror enthusiasts.

A groundbreaking local horror film is set to redefine the genre in Assam, promising an experience unlike anything the region has seen before. Auditions for this highly anticipated project will kick off in January, aiming to showcase fresh talent with new faces taking center stage.

Adding to the excitement, popular Assamese actor Zubin Garg will also join the cast, bringing his star power to the film. Full character reveals are scheduled for January and February next year, creating a buzz among fans and aspiring actors alike.

Sam Bhattacharjee, the film's producer and a British-Indian filmmaker, stated, "After witnessing the success of numerous Bollywood and Hollywood films, I felt inspired to create a horror movie within the Assamese industry. This is my niche, and I believe our entire team can perform exceptionally well. The budget for the movie will be substantial, but we are not planning to shoot in local areas."
