Guwahati: The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has launched a new Learning Management System (LMS) in twelve official languages of India, providing interactive, SCORM-compliant e-Learning courses. The multilingual interface enhances accessibility and user experience for a diverse range of users. The e-Learning Training Courses are available in Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The LMS features a user-friendly interface with dedicated libraries and a progress-tracking dashboard. It also offers a four-level buyer certification program, empowering users with progressive learning and valuable certifications. Buyers and sellers can choose their learning path by topic or certification level, maximizing efficiency.

GeM's CEO,  Prashant Kumar Singh, stated that the rollout of a multilingual learning tool ensures better comprehension of intricate public procurement processes, catalyzing GeM portal's adoption among state or local government buyers and last-mile sellers across India. Since its launch, the GeM LMS has witnessed a 32-fold increase in user registration, with over 4,000 users enrolled in various courses and more than 600 buyer certificates issued.

The LMS aligns with international learning and development standards, catering to diverse language demographics across all States and Union Territories. The interactive, multilingual courses ensure all users, regardless of location or language proficiency, can gain the skills needed to navigate GeM effectively.

This initiative is a significant step towards improving the comprehension of public procurement processes, thereby enhancing the efficiency and reach of the GeM portal across India.
