Guwahati: Niri9, an Assam-based OTT platform, has been honoured with the Time2 Leap National Award for being the ‘Emerging Digital Platform of the Year’.
The award was presented to Dr Junmoni Devi Khaund, the director of Niri Media, during the 3rd edition of the MSME Startup Innovation Summit and Awards held in BKC Mumbai. The award was handed over by Dr S Glory Swarupa, the Director General for MSME, Government of India.
Khaund, the Director of Niri 9, expressed her pride and gratitude on behalf of her dedicated team for receiving the award. She acknowledged that this recognition comes with added responsibilities and pledged to continue delivering quality content in multiple languages on their platform.
She emphasised her commitment to promoting local stories from the region and collaborating with filmmakers to provide them a platform to showcase their creativity.
During the event, the trailer for Niri Media’s upcoming Hindi feature film titled ‘Kooki’ was also unveiled, adding another milestone to the platform’s achievements and offerings.
