Assam CM visits Mangaldoi to take stock of infrastructure projects

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paid a visit to Mangaldai this morning to take stock of upcoming infrastructure developments.

According to officials, Sarma visited National Highway 15 Bypass to assess the progress of projects in the district. 

He took notice of the progress and quality of the work and directed officials to accelerate construction so that it may be completed as soon as possible. 

Once completed, this 15-km link would increase communication along the northern bank and allow for seamless movement between Assam, West Bengal, and Arunachal Pradesh.

He also visited Assam Skill University in Mangaldoi to assess progress and announced on social media that the campus will be equipped with all modern amenities and will offer courses aligned with the needs of the twenty-first century. He also directed officials to ensure prompt completion of work and the start of academic functions in July 2025.

Lastly, he paid a visit to the upcoming Darrang Medical College and Hospital to assess the progress of the project, which would be erected on 100 bighas of land.

According to the government, the hospital would give great care to the community and medical education to our children.

Sarma stated that the government intends to complete these projects before the deadline.
