The founder of the company, Samyak expressed that their inspiration was to address the need for a robust EV charging infrastructure in the region. Their mission is to provide all things EV, from AC charging to DC Fast Charging and even Battery-swapping infrastructure, across the Northeastern states of India.

"Our primary focus is to create a strong network of EV chargers so that wherever you go, you will find an EV charger as easily as a fuel pump. Our focus is to provide easily accessible and widely available EV charging stations, thereby accelerating widespread EV adoption across the country," he added.

BNE: What’s the investment and what’s the turnover?

SJ: A Plus Charge is all set to invest approximately 50 Lakhs INR in the Assam market to establish a variety of EV charging stations. Their vision confines not only individual EV owners but also fleet operators of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers. They believe that now is the ideal time to enter the market and address the unique challenges that come with EV ownership.

The company also plans to install EV chargers at government offices and municipal corporation parking spaces, demonstrating its commitment to providing comprehensive support for EVs and reducing range anxiety among customers. With a focus on highway locations, they aim to play a key role in the government's policy of creating EV charging stations every 25 kilometres along National Highways across India.

BNE: Who are your collaborators, and how is your product different?

SJ: A Plus Charge has joined forces with Bengaluru-based companies for their software needs. They are in the process of developing an all-in-one EV software that will empower users to locate, charge, and pay for their EV charging sessions seamlessly. Moreover, their chargers are readily available on Google Maps, enabling individuals to effortlessly find, navigate to, and charge their EVs.

What sets A Plus Charge apart is its universal approach to EV charging. Unlike some OEMs, their products can charge all types of EVs, be it 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, or 4-wheelers. Safety is paramount, and they are dedicated to providing the safest EV charging devices to customers while tactically addressing range anxiety.
