Jakson Green gets Rs 296 cr credit facility from First Abu Dhabi Bank

New Delhi: On Monday, Jakson Green announced that the company has obtained a Rs 296 crore credit facility from First Abu Dhabi Bank, which is based in the UAE. The company announced that it will utilize the funds to grow its global operations, starting with investing in Uzbekistan.

Jakson Green has obtained a loan of Rs 2.96 billion from First Abu Dhabi Bank. It was stated that this funding will support the company's global growth, with Uzbekistan being the initial recipient for its upcoming solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage venture. The company sees the credit facility as a major step in entering Uzbekistan's renewable energy sector and aims to extend its global presence in the Middle East, Africa, CIS, and Europe.

The initiative in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, involves building and running a solar power facility with a capacity of 250 MW along with a battery energy storage system (BESS) of 63 MW/126MWh. Jakson Green is the division of Jakson Group that focuses on renewable energy.
