Capital Group's arm sells 5.6 pc stake in Mastek for Rs 475 crore

New Delhi: On Wednesday, Capital Group, a financial services firm, divested a 5.6 pc share in Mastek for more than Rs 475 crore via open market deals, as ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund acquired a stake in the same IT firm. According to BSE data, Capital Group from Los Angeles sold 17,19,117 shares, which represented a 5.6 pc stake in Mastek Ltd, through its affiliate EuroPacific Growth Fund.

The stocks were sold for an average of Rs 2,766.36 each, totaling Rs 475.57 crore in transaction value. Patronus Tradetech also offloaded 217 Mastek shares at a price of Rs 2,845.23 each. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Ghisallo Master Fund LP, and Patronus Tradetech LLP collectively purchased 12.34 lakh shares of Mastek within the price range of Rs 2,751-2,767.51 per share, resulting in a total transaction value of Rs 340.40 crore.

The identities of the purchasers of Mastek's shares could not be determined. Mastek's stock dropped by 4.67 per cent and closed at Rs 2,769.70 per share on the BSE. Mastek recently declared a strategic partnership with Onyx Health, a pioneer in healthcare interoperability solutions. The company stated that the collaboration is focused on speeding up the implementation of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards to improve data interoperability and health outcomes for patients.
