Mumbai: Bharti Airtel-owned Wynk Music, has achieved more than 1.7 billion streams for songs by independent artists of Wynk Studio, the company confirmed in a statement on Tuesday. This milestone has been achieved within two years of the platform's launch.
Bharti Airtel's Chief Marketing Officer, Amit Tripthai, stated that Wynk Studio was launched to recognize music talent in India and enable artists to build sustainable careers in the music industry.
"Wynk Studio revolutionized artist support in India through personalized mentorship, wide distribution, and monetisation opportunities," Bharti-Airtel said in a release. "The platform also provides artists with collaborations with other music labels, background scores of web series, OTT, live events, and more. Wynk Music curates special playlists with the songs of these artists to drive discoverability and streams."
The release added, "The platform has helped over 2000+ artists find a wider audience for their music and has helped them solve monetisation and discovery issues. Established artists like Nikhita Gandhi, Vishal Dadlani, and Rahet Fateh Ali Khan have also joined Wynk Studio to release their music. Wynk Studio has also supported the distribution of independent singles and independent producers like LGF Studios for the promotion of their movie "Love All" starring Kay Kay Menon and Swastika Mukherjee."
